Organizing is a Process, Not an Event
Clutter and disorganization take a long time to build up, so it’s not possible to get organized overnight. Organizing is not a one-and-done project. You don’t brush your teeth once and say they are done. You maintain them every day, and it’s the same with organizing. Once you organize your spaces, you maintain them as you go each day.
Getting organized can be a lot of work at the beginning but the rewards are endless. Having less stuff and being organized frees you to accomplish your most important goals. I like to consider aesthetics as we organize. We want you to be thrilled with the results.
Some people confuse organization with buying new products. If you shop before you declutter, products that look good in the store or online may become more clutter in your spaces. To ensure a positive outcome, we purchase after we sort, declutter and assign homes. We measure the spaces, itemize the number of items to store, and select products that work. And sometimes, we can repurpose items you already own. Organizing to last is not a quick fix. It’s a multi-step process, involving trial and error, and it’s often messy in the middle. We only promise results when we follow through with all steps of the process. Patience to the finish line pays off.
We advocate recycling, reducing, and reusing. If we let go of items that are still clean and useful, we would like you to donate them so they have another life and help someone who can use them.
